Covered 6 is proud to offer a Cyber Security Technician program of three courses (CST Foundation, CST Intermediate, and CST Advanced) that are all designed to serve transitioning U.S. Military Veterans and Civilian Professionals.
As part of this unique program of courses, Covered 6 is offering three, certified, 5 week, 200 hour courses, that have been approved to operate by the Bureau for Private Post-secondary Education and certified by the California Bureau of Security and Investigative Services. Moreover, Covered 6 was awarded the National Program Standard for these courses by the U.S. Department of Labor. These courses includes academic instruction which combines in-classroom, scenario based, hands-on and interactive training methodologies. Several certifications can be earned upon successfully completing the courses and the exams.
Upon graduating from the CST Foundation course, students will have had instruction to prepare them to take the CompTIA certification exams for A+, Network+, and Security+. CST Intermediate students will be able to take CompTIA PenTest+ and CySA+ exams. And CST Advanced students will be able to take CompTIA CASP+ and CISSP. Additionally, all students will receive professional and career development, actual hands-on training and experience with related devices, computers and networks as well as actual war-gaming, as both, Blue Team (Computer Network Defense) and Red Team (Computer Network Attack).

After twenty-plus years of ingesting a diverse array of military, DOD, and college courses under the umbrella of Homeland Security, (B.A., Criminal Justice), I humbly attest that the C6 CST Program is of the highest educational caliber. In contrast, I previously attended several months of Comp Tia Exam Preparation at another vendor, which was helpful, but did not include any "hands-on labs", nor basic command line tools in Windows or Linux. Intense study and cramming alone is not as effective as the traditional lectures-followed-by labs methodology received at C6. Pointedly, our Instructors gave the proverbial "So-What?" that is: The reason(s) for and how key concepts evolved towards industry standards, etc. Overall, I graduated with a solid foundation in the basics. I look forward to taking and passing all three Comp Tia exams in short order and credit the C6 CST Program for my success in this endeavor.
As a veteran with special operations experience coupled with prior experiences in dignitary and executive protection, I've had the opportunity to train in many circumstances and with some of the best in the security industry. All that aside, Covered 6 is the only organization that put everything together for a security professional to know in a five-week program that is scale-able, hard hitting and dynamic while at the same time flexible to expand and incorporate emerging methodologies. This course challenged some of my previously held maxims and broke down training scars to enable embracing new paradigms. Geared towards being a Veteran, this course allowed me to reconnect to the training and atmosphere I was accustomed to. In such a short period of time i believe most, if not all of the pertinent emergency medical and or tactical procedures that i learned in the military were covered. In my opinion this training was above any other type of standard that i've ever had, mainly due to the expertise and experience of the instructors themselves. Great experience!
Covered 6 Academy is a 5 week course of both in class and hands on training. You first go through class work to introduce the new course of instruction then go hands on. The training offered by Covered 6 is well rounded from verbal de-escalation to physical defense tactics. The amount of experience from every instructor in this academy is hard to come by especially with it all being in one facility. I never knew this type of training can be offered in the security industry. Everything that was taught in this program is definitely of value and will help you advance in the field of security.

Covered 6 is an extraordinary training academy which is fortunate to have a professional and extremely knowledgeable teaching staff. I attended the 5 week Executive Protection Class. Having some prior experience in the security field, attending this course not only strengthen my skills but I was also able to apply newly learned skills and broaden my horizon on the private side of the security field. The instructors are very knowledgeable and thorough with the subjects discussed in this course.
