The new National Standard for the US Department of Labor.

Covered 6 is proud to offer a US Veteran and civilian professional security training program. We designed this program to help our fellow Veterans transitioning back into the civilian workplace. Tapping into years of experience and training, we provide the most comprehensive training program available.

This certificate program consists of 40 | 80 | 200 hour course of security, law enforcement and academic instruction, which combines classroom, scenarios with and without UTM, hands on and interactive training evolutions in our state of the art facility. Some of the topics taught are Defensive Tactics (armed / unarmed), Less Lethal Force, Service Pistol Training, NAEMT Tactical Emergency Casualty Care (TECC), Executive Protection, Surveillance, Verbal De-Escalation, Report Writing, and much more.

Several certifications will be awarded upon the successful completion of the curriculum. Upon  graduation of the Physical Security Specialist Program you will receive a course certificate that verifies your successful completion of the Department of Labor National Standard Program. This course will also result in certifications from the California Bureau of Security and Investigative Services Guard Card / Exposed Firearms Permit, Chemical Agents (OC), Taser International,  American Red Cross First Aid / CPR / AED,  TCCC (NAEMT) and others.

In addition to training security personnel to a higher standard we believe that an equal amount of focus should be spent on placing our graduates in job positions throughout the country in the Private Security Sector. We hire and fill positions within our company as well as with our affiliates in industries such as technology, aerospace, education, and more.

We are proud to accept the Post 9/11 GI Bill ®.
